To celebrate I’m doing a giveaway of a  2015, 12 month wall calendar of my oil paintings. To enter, please leave a comment below and let me know: 1) What you think of the website or 2) what online classes you’d like to see offered. Winner will be drawn April 1st.

I’ve had many people request online classes and now I am set up to host them on my website. For someone who does not do web design, I’m very happy with how it all turned out! On top of all that I’ve been busy creating my first online course, Joyful Beginning Watercolor which starts March 27th. I’ve been working with Daniel Smith to create class kits at great prices.

Hi Sandi! I’m anxious for the Sketching the Journey class too. I thought I ought to offer a beginning watercolor class first that goes into depth about materials, and basic techniques and then the Sketching class! : ) So glad you like the website colors! One reason I took so long to finish is that I’m super picky about getting everything “just so”. Thanks!

Hi, Liesel — I just found your web site and and am happy to see that you’re offering on-line classes. yay! I’d love to be able to take an on-line class from you in mixed media/collage using acrylic paints. And I’d love to win a copy of your wall calendar highlighting your oil paintings. I know you’re a cat lover, too, which makes me admire you even more!

I am so excited about your online watercolor class! After taking the intro to watercolors in your home, it will be fun to have the class in my own home; to experience your enthusiasm and expertise without driving to Seattle. Thanks, Liesel!

I’m excited too Cindy! I won’t have to clean the house ; ) But I will continue to offer some in-person classes here in Seattle because I love seeing what everyone is doing and learning from me and each other. I intend to make the online classes as close as I can to the low key fun that we have here in class!

Looking forward to taking your class. Love your colors. I am a little confused about the choose file box. I selected JPEG on an earlier post but not sure it went through. Are your lessons available on an IPad ?

Hi Nancy! Yes, the class & lessons will be easily viewable on all devices. You can watch the promo video for the watercolor class (https://liesellund.com/joyful-beginning-watercolor/) on your ipad to see what it will look like. The video is scalable to your screen size. Another thing I made sure of when designing the new site. Sorry for the confusion. That is there so if someone wishes to share an image that relates to the blog post, they can. It will make more sense for other blog posts. Thanks!

    Hi Liesel

I am thrilled that you are now offering online classes! One of the classes I would love to see you offer is how you make your journals ( the one with beautiful ribbons), and also one on using tea/coffee and other stains. I also would dearly love to win your calendar – your use of color always brightens my day.

Hi Sue! Thanks so much! The first 10 weeks of the watercolor class, you receive new content each week, and after the 10 weeks are over you will have access to all the class contents for 6 months. Hope that helps!

Your website is beautiful. I have been getting your emails for over a year – every time I get one, I think – yes, I can do this. But then fear and doubt set in. I think, maybe, this year, I need to so YES and commit.

Hi Kate, I completely understand. It is funny how we do that to ourselves. It is like public speaking-you have to just do it and with practice it gets much easier. I always break things into really small manageable steps. And if you do some things and not everything you intended, give yourself a reward anyway! Also, acknowledge, that art, like cooking, does not always produce delicious dishes we wish to serve to others–but how else are we to learn not to put too much salt in the food if we don’t allow ourselves to learn and try. At least with art-your dinner is not at stake! : ) Good Luck! I hope you do give yourself the joy of creating!

    Liesel,
I’m so thrilled you have your new website up and going, big endevor. You mentioned you were working on it last Sept. when you were in Dallas so I know it’s been a long time effort. Looking forward to taking advantage of the classes and from what I’ve seen on your blog so far it looks like it will be a wonderful spot to visit for inspiration. You photos are fantastic.

    All the best,
    Heather

I discovered you and your wonderful new website via the recent Cloth Paper Scissors. I’ll be in Seattle early this Fall and maybe you will have an-site class while I’m there. Meanwhile, I’d love to be on your email list.
